Behind the Story

About Morrigan Crowe
(or… what she’s willing to admit)
Morrigan Crowe holds a degree in Ancient Near Eastern and Biblical Archaeology—which is a long way of saying she has spent years obsessing over ancient worlds… and all the stories they stubbornly refuse to keep buried. That fascination now threads through everything she writes.
Her work sits firmly in sapphic fantasy, rooted in myth, power, and the tension between fate and choice—stories where women stop asking permission and start shaping what comes next (usually with a little chaos along the way).
A few years ago, she moved to Australia with her wife—easily one of her better life decisions. By day, she teaches English. By personality, she talks—a lot. From the moment she wakes up. She runs on decaf green tea, lives with an overactive imagination, and shares her headspace with a cast of characters who are getting increasingly impatient about not being written.
Outside of writing, Morrigan has a deep and slightly concerning love of rocks. Intervention was required. A system now exists: any rock she wants to bring home from a hike or camping trip must be formally presented to a jury (her wife and best friends), inspected, and put to a vote. Not all rocks make it. Some losses are still being processed.
And yes—she loves dinosaurs too. That part requires no explanation.
